As I started this blog I made a decision to be honest with my readers and myself. I will try be logical and consistent in my writings so there will be no place for discussion later. I found it meaningful to declare some points before going further. So here we are.
Table of Contents
Reason #1: I always wanted to write something
As a small kid I always wanted to write a book and even made some attempts, but was unsuccessful, because I did not have to say much and my book was just a couple of pages long, what, of course, was not so much exiting.
Reason #2: I have too much to say (at least it feels like this)
Since I am trying to become better than I was yesterday for a couple of years from now, I am gathering some experience on my way. And because it is so exiting, I wanna share this with my friends and people I love. So it could be a single source of truth for them.
Reason #3: I need an accessible place where I can come back to my thoughts
As a professional software developer I am trying not to repeat myself and do something only once. It is painful to struggle many times with the same issue knowing you have already done it before.
That’s why it makes sense to make some notes from time to time, so you can come back to it in similar case. And from my point of view there is no better place for it as a website you can access from any device and place.
Reason #4: Writing is good for my mental health
It is a bad idea to think too much and not to put the thoughts onto the paper. I am creative and always have new ideas, problems ans their solutions in my head. It is just impossible to keep everything there.
It makes me sad to know that something will be gone soon or late and it might never come back into my head again.
Reason #5: I want to improve my speed of typing and need more practice
Even though I am a programmer and write programs every day, it is not really the same thing as writing texts.
By programming I take pauses to think, because it is not always straightforward to write a piece of code ;) But here I can type non-stop just taking the thoughts from my head and putting it down.
Reason #6: I want to learn Vim
It is similar to the reason #5, but still different :)
Vim is a text editor that makes it possible to use ONLY keyboard and edit the texts extremely fast, what of course would be really useful skill for my daily job.
Reason #7: I need a hobby :)
It is being said that man needs a hobby for a perfect life. It happened that I still don’t have one, so why not writing blogs :D
I guess that’s it! Thank you for reading me!
